Toyota C-HR Production Model Spied in Undisguised Form
BANGKOK: The upcoming cross from the fleet of Toyota vehicles has been caught by a proficient spy photographer in Turkey. The pictures clicked show the C-HR compact crossover in completely undisguised form flaunting the groovy looks. After the official teaser of C-HR ahead of Geneva Motor Show, it has been caught in a place, which seems to be a manufacturing facility.
It will soon be ready to challenge the dominance of other crossover players in the market, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3 and Nissan Juke, which also brings a good news for the Toyota lovers as the company plans to sell this crossover in different world markets including Thailand.
Based on the new Toyota New Global Architecture, Toyota C-HR Crossover will be available in both front wheel and all wheel drive options and would be up for grab in three engine trims namely, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, 1.8-litre hybrid and a 2.0-litre petrol engine. While the 1.2-litre, being coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission system would be capable of churning out a max power of 116 hp and a peak torque of 185 Nm whereas the 2.0-litre gasoline trim would yield out a max power of 153 hp.
The hybrid power mill will have a 1.8-litre Atkinson engine along with an electric motor and will be good enough for 98 hp and 142 Nm of torque. The battery would yield a max power of 72 hp and a peak torque of 163 Nm. Combining the two, engine and motor, the total power output will be 122 hp.
However, the exact details about the power train are vague at the moment but we soon expect a clear picture of the same in the months to come. The sales are expected to start from early 2018 while the company plans to increase its production quota of this crossover as it sights a flurry of queries and bookings as soon as it hits the showrooms.
