Top Mid-Range Cars Releasing in Frankfurt Motor Show

BANGKOK: Manufacturers have been trying every trick in the book in order to expand their market reach. In order to do so, various companies that have expertise in manufacturing cars from diverse segments have jumped to provide mid-range luxury cars, that provide a great value for every buck spent by the customer.

Alfa Romeo Giulia

The brand from the historical background Alfa Romeo is going to launch its new model of Giulia at the Frankfurt Motor show. The brand basically aims to manufacture cars oriented towards high-performance cars. From the traits of the Alfa Romeo this car also has 50:50 power to weight ratio and the maximum use of carbon fibre is done to make the car lightweight body and aluminium alloy to shave off the total weight. Under the hood, the Giulia will be occupied with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo diesel engine to produce magnificent power and torque. This will direct rival against the BMW 3 series, Audi A4 and A3.

Audi A4

After the long wait German manufacturer is now going to reveal their new A4. This will be the fifth generation of Audi A4 which is going to make debut at upcoming 2015 Frankfurt Motor show. Apart from its enhanced space, fuel efficiency, performance along with technology the latest model price starts from 1,500 euros. The fifth generation of A4 is built on the new platform to improve fuel economy and to provide ample space. Audi A4 is aided by the new front wheel drive MLB EVO technique which helps to deduct the weight from the car.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe

Recently the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe official images were launched and the only thing the manufacturer has share are some of the parts of the regular C-Class Coupe. The German beast has integrated a 4.0-litres V8 engine which is able to generate 503 horsepower and maximum torque of 698 Nm. It is able to hit the 0 to 100 kmph mark in just 3.9 seconds and it is capable of achieving the top speed of 290 kmph which is bounded by the electronic device.

Mini Clubman

Mini's revamped 2016 Clubman wagon is also going to make the debut in this event. It will be the brand flagship model in the United States due to its larger size and addition of contemporary features. The new Clubman is 12.4 inches longer and 4.6 inches wider to make this car more roomy from inside. The new Clubman will be powered by a twin turbo engine which will be matched by a six-speed manual or a 6-8 speed automatic gearbox.

BMW 2&3 Series

Both the 2 and 3 series of BMW hybrid is going to be introduced at the Frankfurt Motor show. This is the debut of 2 series and before this its prototype was showcased in July 2014. The compact MPV from the German manufacturer has some traits of BMW i8 in terms of technology, and under the hood it will be offered with a 1.5-litres three cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and an electric motor with a 7.7 kWh lithium-ion battery package. Its main powertrain will generate power to its front wheels and the electric motor will run the rear wheels.

Some highlights of 3 series which also shares the stage at the motor show include a 1.5-litres unit that can generate up to 136 horsepower and maximum torque of 220 Nm. There is the option of another engine that will be a 3.0-litres block which can bang up to 326 horsepower and torque around 450 Nm and will be mated with Step-Tronic 8-speed transmission.
