Tesla Motors Registered Exceptional Car Sales in 2015
BANGKOK: The year 2015 has done wonders to the American electric car manufacturer in terms of sales. The company has registered a total car sales of 50,580 units in the past year, which is undoubtedly an impressive growth shown by the electric manufacturer.
Although, Tesla, that has marked its name in the auto industry as an elite electric car manufacturer could not turn up to the grand auto exhibition (32nd Motor Expo) later previous year in Thailand but has a lot to flaunt this new year. The brand wasn’t able to set up an official distributor in the country that forced it to turn down its plans for participating in the auto show. The news came as a surprise for all the Tesla fans and lovers across the nation. But with the start of the new year, the brand has a lot to share to its followers.
Tesla rolled out 50,580 electric cars last year, which accounts for its Model S, an electric sedan and Model X, which joins the league of sports utility vehicles. Individually, the company has delivered 17,192 Model S units in the fourth quarter of 2015, which itself is a record-setting delivery figure for the automaker. This is 75% more than what the brand managed the year earlier.
Talking about the electric SUV, the company manufactured a total of 507 units in the last three months of 2015. Out of which, 208 were rolled out. The point to be noticed here is that the numbers accounted by the company are only for the delivered vehicles and the real count for the overall bookings can be much higher.
