Subaru Forester 2017 Finally Landed on Thai Turf

BANGKOK: Subaru Thailand, the prime distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country has finally shed the covers off the new Forester, which comes with new campaign defined as “Is there anything you can not do?”. This latest campaign from the manufacturer is aimed to promote the car’s unmatched capabilities and to impress the adventure lovers to go for this tough machine.

Regarded as the ultimate SUV of the segment, the latest Subaru Forester was presented at the Tokyo Motor show and speculated to be available for the people in Thailand at the BMS 2016. Now, finally the company has come up with this exciting SUV that’s ready to challenge the existing players of the market.

Cosmetically, the new Forester gets a refreshed front with a new grille, responsive headlamps with DRLs, unique fog lamps with chrome housing and revised bumper design. New alloys, wrap around tail lights and the trunk spoiler give the SUV a look to drool over. Inside, the cabin looks plush, comfortable and quiet. The thickness of the glass has been increased in addition to the inclusion of soundproofing material variations, which prevent the external noise to enter the car. A premium audio system is accompanied by the LED display keeping the entertainment front intact.

Under the hood, the SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Boxer engine that is capable of generating a max power of 150 hp and a peak torque of 198 Nm. It will be powering the two variants of the SUV namely 2.0iP and 2.0i yielding an impressive fuel economy of 7.9 litres per 100 Kms. A turbo engine is also on offer with the capability to produce 241 hp at 5600 rpm.

Various driving assistance systems are included in the SUV that ensures the car is capable of running on varied terrains without hindering the comfort of the occupants. The different driving modes include sand, mud, snow and surface.

New Forester price is also out and they are as follows,

• Forester 2.0i : THB 1.398 million
• Forester 2.0iP : THB 1.498 million
• Forester 2.0XT : THB 2.29 million
