New MG GS Launched with a Price Tag of THB 1.21 million

BANGKOK: MG Thailand has shed the covers off the new MG GS with a starting price tag of THB 1.21 million. The new SUV from the fleet of MG vehicles will take the stage at the upcoming Bangkok Motor Show, whose doors go wide from 23rd March for the crowd after the official teaser of the same was out earlier this month. The car looks dynamic from outside and being developed under the Brit Dynamic concept and the MG brand, the alluring looks, breathtaking performance, control, safety and security are ensured.

The design is pleasing to eyes and its sporty character is the main highlight that would attract the youth. At the front it has sleek, slender frame grille with the brand’s emblem at the centre, sharp projector headlamps, unique and innovative fog lamps and body colored ORVMs with turn indicators. Moving on to the rear end, it has wrap-around tail lights, bulged tail gate and dual exhaust pipes. Adding to the sporty character are the lid spoiler, dual tone 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and the styling lines across the car.

The company has revealed the GS specs, which are good enough to lure autogeeks out there. Under the flesh, it has a 2.0-litre gasoline turbocharged engine with direct injection technology that can churn out a max power of 218 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The new GS is available in four wheel drive with twin clutch Sportronic transmission system. Talking about the acceleration, it can touch the formidable mark of 100 Kmph from zero in just 8.2 seconds, which is pretty quick.

The brand has bestowed a number of technologies to the vehicle including automatic headlight on-off, automatic sprinkler system, headlight wash and electric sunroof, granting the passengers a hassle-free run from the word go. Considering the security aspect, it comes with a synchronised protection system, which is a collection of 13 different systems.

Offered in two models, 2.0TD 2WD and 2.0TX AWD, the new GS price is THB 1.21 million and THB 1.31 million respectively. The price of GS is competitive as compared to others in the market and is expected to spice up the market for sure.
