MG GS Compact SUV Teased Ahead of its Debut on 17th March

BANGKOK: The British auto manufacturer has teased out its upcoming new GS compact SUV ahead of its debut in Thailand. It was earlier expected to make its way to Thai turf on 17th February but the company pushed back the MG GS launch date to 17th March 2016. After an official launch on 17th this month, the GS compact SUV will head towards the grand auto extravaganza, Bangkok International Motor Show 2016.

The teaser images show the car’s rear end with illuminated LED tail lights, ORVMs with turn indicators and 5-spoke alloy wheels. The front end is adorned by dynamic Brit front grille, LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights and a peculiarly designed bumper. In addition to this, there are roof rails, rear spoiler and shark fin antenna that enhance its overall appeal.

In Thailand, the MG GS specifications are expected to include a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which can churn out a max power of 220 hp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The engine would be stationed along with the six-speed automatic dual clutch transmission system. There would be an option of AWD in higher trims while the standard GS SUV will get the front wheel drive system.

GS SUV interior would be as plush as we witness in a sedan. It would come with well-cushioned seats, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, 8.0-inch infotainment display with navigation and intelligent communication technology support and a considerable cargo space. The space inside can be increased by folding down the seats in a 60:40 configuration giving a liberty to enjoy long trips more comfortably.

With the inclusion of new vehicles in the country, the company would like to have a strong presence and reach to its customers. Hence, the brand has opened a new service station with the sole aim to satisfy its esteemed clients by providing them with sublime services.
