Mazda CX-9 2017 Enters Production Line in Japan

BANGKOK: The production of the large SUV, all-new CX-9 has begun, thanks to the Japanese automaker for blessing the automotive world with another spectacular production from its fleet of amazing and economical vehicles. The production has been started at the Ujina plant No. 1 in Hiroshima.

The new CX-9 joins the existing league of SUVs from the makers of all-new CX-3, which was launched in November last year. Since its existence, it has been acclaimed around the country for its incredible fuel-efficient engine, striking looks and comfortable cabin.

Adopting the trademark KODO design language of Mazda, the new CX-9 is blessed with the head-turning looks and a well-proportioned seven-seater structure that’s potent to make your drive not only comfortable but also grant you a new level of luxury from the word go. Although, it has shed 30 millimetres in terms of length but the stability is guaranteed with a 55 mm longer wheelbase.

The CX-9 interior is another alluring aspect of the new SUV one needs to look forward. It comes with brown Nappa leather seats, a large 7 or -8-inch infotainment system with MAZDA CONNECT feature, decorative LED lighting, a glowing 4.6-inch TFT display, a multi-function steering wheel along with a range of comforting amenities.

Talking about the CX-9 specs, it underpins a new 2.5-litres four-cylinder petrol engine capable of churning out a max power if 227 hp and a peak torque of 420 Nm. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission system.

The CX-9 sale is expected to start pretty soon now, especially with the vehicle being introduced to the production line. The initially produced units will go on sale in US and Canada followed by other markets of the world. The brand expects to sell around 50,000 units per year in US.
