Honda BR-V 2016 to be Revealed Today in Thailand
BANGKOK: Joining the gang of its siblings, the Honda BR-V is finally launched on the soil of Thailand. Said to be an SUV + MPV amalgamation, this car from its creators has come to Thai market after a long dry spell of Honda cars in the country at hte Motor Expo 2015.
Initially, we have seen the BR-V in the recently concluded GIIAS in Indonesia and now with its entry in the Thai soil, we can give you a glimpse of specification. The 2016 Honda BR-V is offered in three trim levels: 1.5L S, 1.5L E, and 1.5L Prestige where all three produce similar power and torque of 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm respectively. The difference being the transmission system, the base model will be paired with a 6MT, while the other two are offered with CVT system.
Honda BR-V comes with a unique body type, whose dimensions read as 4455 mm long, 1735 mm wide and 1660 mm tall. The wheelbase and ground clearance are as good as 2660 mm and 200+ mm respectively.
The exterior modifications include a Projector Front Headlamps with LED positioning, aero kit, 195/60R16 tires with 16-inch alloy wheels, and auto retractable door mirrors. The interiors are made superior with features like multi-information binnacle, 6-inch display audio monitor and double AC blower for passenger comfort. The safety front is also improved where the Honda BR-V is now armed with Dual SRS airbags and ABS+EBD as standard options. Vehicle stability control and Hill Start Assist are available in higher variants only.
