Fiat Fullback Showcased at the Geneva Motor Show 2016
BANGKOK: The Italian auto marque brought its latest pickup, Fullback to the Geneva Motor Show 2016 with sturdy looks, tough tyres and a snug cabin. The tough and aggressive looking pickup is based on the frame of Mitsubishi Triton, which makes it more reliable and strong on the inside.
The pickup was earlier taken to the last’s year Dubai Motor Show where it grabbed the eyes of many auto enthusiasts for its comfy cabin and striking looks in addition to other off-roading capabilities that it possesses. This is not the first time, the Italian automaker is trying out the hands on the pickup, Fiat Toro pickup is another such truck that joins the league of pickups.
This Fiat pickup is full of power that grants it incredible towing capabilities. The Fullback specs are also deliberately out by the brand giving the world an idea of how this pickup would compete in the existing segment of medium-duty trucks. It underpins a 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine that is capable of pumping out a max power of 180 hp while being mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission system. It is offered with an AWD system and a rear electronic differential.
The Fullback range comprises of four different designs namely Single Cab, Extended Cab, Double Cab and Chassis, which are further divided into three trims each. Dimensionally, the pickup comes with a standard width of 1815 mm and a height of 1780 mm while the length varies depending upon the configuration. The cargo is good enough to load a max of 1100 Kg with ease and measures 2265 mm in case of Single Cab. Whereas it decreases in case of Extended and Double Cab with 1850 mm and 1520 mm respectively.
Cosmetically, Fiat Fullback has an alluring appeal featuring Fiat’s traditional front grille, bi-xenon headlights, metal grey ORVMs, black matt door handles and sturdy 5-spoke alloy wheels. On the inside, the cabin adorns leather seating and upholstery, which is further graced by bronze panels on the dash.
