Ferrari FF Facelift to make its debut with more powerful upgrades
BANGKOK: Ferrari FF facelift is likely to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 next year in March and would hit the roads probably by 2017. It is expected to come in a refreshed look, which is reflective of its 488 GTB model.
The facelifted version will be featuring a new front grille with new headlights and a redesigned bumper. The main highlight of the revamped design is the taillights same as those of the Ferrari's latest model 488 GTB. The rear end will also get modified, but it will be less pronounced than the front. A lot of Ferrari fans and enthusiasts would expect it to come with four doors and have an RWD drive system.
Enrico Galliera, senior vice-president of Ferrari SpA said, “FF is one of the cars that allowed us to satisfy the growing need of our clients. Of course, we’re working to further innovate the car, it’s too early to say when and how. But our clients will have a surprise in the future.”
He has also confirmed that under the hood, it will have naturally-aspirated 6.3-litre V12 engine similar as of its current model. The engine will be tuned to offer more than 700 horsepower which is 50 more than its current model. The facelift might be having a new eight-speed transmission system, which will be a change from its 7-speed dual clutch transmission that would definitely boost its fuel efficiency and performance. The upgraded FF can sprint from 0-96 km/hour in less than 3.5 seconds.
Ferrari FF 2016 will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 before going on sale in 2017. For more details of the facelift FF, stay tuned to Carbay.
