Citroen DS4 Facelift & New DS4 Crossback Revealed

BANGKOK: Citroen, the French auto brand revealed the refreshed version of hatchback DS4 accompanied with a small SUV, DS4 Crossback. The French productions would be centre-staged at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show this September. Both the production models wear the DS tag as a part of separation from the bigger brand name Citroen and adorns the same DS specific grille design.

The DS4 hatchback is the face lifted version sporting new modern features and style, while the DS4 Crossback makes a new entry to the world stage under the brand name DS. The latest version of DS4 hatch sports features like Apple Carplay connectivity, which can be controlled through a new 7-inch touchscreen embedded on the centre console. The addition of this display allows the manufacturer to reduce the number of control buttons on the centre console by 12. However, the Android connectivity feature is still vague at the moment. Other than this, it also features a reverse camera, keyless entry & start, Denon audio system, massage seats and blind-spot monitoring.

On the other hand, DS4 Crossback gets a perfect style as you expect from a typical SUV, which includes Grey plastic cladding over the wheel arches and satin-silver roof rails. The small SUV will be powered by a PureTech S7S turbocharged gasoline engine with 95 kW of power and a peak torque of 230 Nm. It will feature only a manual transmission system along side a front wheel drive system. A turbo diesel engine is also on offer for the customers, which will generate a maximum power output of 90 kW along side a torque of 300 Nm. The diesel trim will be mated to a manual and automatic transmission systems.

With the addition of DS4 Crossback in the fleet of cars, the company is hoping to spice up the crossover market by attracting vast number of customers.
