Aston Martin Registered for new trademark: “Aero Blade”
BANGKOK: Aston Martin grabs a trademark name “Aero blade” owing to the technology- active aero technology making it the best sport cars brand. This trademark AeroBlade just like all the other ones gives a clue as to what the autocar maker is up to, what their future plans are? British sportscar manufacturer has also hinted with its newly filed trademark that it may has developed a new technology of active aerodynamics in cars and it is rumored that cars under this trademark wing will have dynamic rear spoiler and will replace the track only Vulcan hypercar. Cars developed under the trademark “Aero Blade” category, can act as a catalyst to further boost the popularity and sales of Aston Martin brand with some additional aerodynamic components among Sports car enthusiasts.
It is speculated that this new trademark may be used for passenger cars and sport cars and also their parts and fittings. Rather than just the new brand or name for its one of the new vehicles, the brit automaker is planning to make this trademark, a part for its racing cars aiding aerodynamics. So we can play a safe guess game that it might work on a dynamic rear spoiler or air brake.
Aston is already in the news for its DB11 car which will be replacing the DB9, which is due sometime in 2016 and already made its appearance in the Bond movie spectre with the DB9 GT. This new model will be packed with its German Autocar partner, Mercedes-AMG's 4.0 litre twin turbo engine and will be developed on a new aluminium intensive platform.
With the adaptation of the Aeroblade trademark, Aston is likely to break its traditional naming conventions which mostly starts with “V”, for Aston Martin Vanquish and Aston Martin Vantage or “DB” for DB9 or its new replacement DB11. With the new advancement in technologies and gadgets, the brit automaker is also not far behind in manufacturing the cars which are expected to drive autonomously and its electric version RapidE concept is also likely to make its way in the production producing power up to 1,000 hp. DB11 price is expected to start from THB 5770800.00
In addition to the launch of new DB11, the British autocar manufacturer is also planning to replace the company's entry Vantage while adding more sedans and crossover with the DBX platform in the line up of the vehicles, all thanks to the new CEO of the brand, Andy Palmer. With the significant success of Qashqai and Juke, Nissan models on his hands, Andy Palmer pushed the boundaries of the brand and implemented a four-pillar plan to cover the company's luxury saloons, SUVs, Sports cars and supercars.
These new models under the Aeroblade wing are expected to be lightweight cars using carbon fiber components and the sports car maker has developed an array of aerodynamic components for its future production and sport cars models. This new trademark of Aston is likely to make its debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.
