Aston Martin DB9 GT Arrives in Bond Edition

BANGKOK: When we think of popular big screen cars, the James Bond’s DB5 is likely one of the cars which strike the mind first. Despite the Bond’s DB5 made its debut 50 years ago the relationship of Aston Martin and James Bond have gone hand-in-hand. Now the legendary British Sports car manufacturer has established a special edition of Aston Martin DB9 in order to celebrate the long-term bond of Aston Martin and James Bond.

The New Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition will be produced in a limited count, which will further eulogize the release of James Bond’s upcoming film - Spectre.

When it comes to mechanics, the new Aston Martin DB9 GT has been powered with a 6.0-litres V12 engine which pumps out extra 30 hp of power output to reach the count of 540 hp. On acceleration, this sports car will shoot from standstill position to 100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds, showing that it is 0.1 seconds faster than the standard car.

Inside the cabin, DB9 Bond Edition features some panels embedded with 007 logos, classy embroidery on the rear seats and a special edition of start-up screen on the Ami II touch sensitive infotainment display. The premium embellishments maximize the luxurious cabin feel of Aston Martin DB9 GT in which the wrap of fluted leather, Alcantra covered steering and satin carbon-fibre centre console contributes in a similar count.

In addition, the Sports car manufacturer, Aston Martin is proposing numerous Bond-themed accessories including Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch, comprising the eccentric Aston Martin strap which is finished with embossed leather tag.
