2016 Tokyo Auto Salon to witness Honda-Mugen Tuned Cars
BANGKOK: The Japanese automakers are all set to showcase their latest innovations in the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon and joining the league is Honda with its long tuning partner Mugen, which will come up with a range of tuned models. Toyota has already revealed the concept car to be launched in the upcoming show and Honda is also looking forward to introduce some of its latest innovations. The lineup for Honda Concept Cars will include hatchbacks, roadsters, minivans and crossovers each being tuned for improved dynamics and unique styling.
To begin the list is the Honda S660 Mugen RA Prototype, which features a revamped grille, red leather seats and stylish Mugen embroidery on seats. According to the officials the car will get the standard engine and major modifications are reflected in its exterior styling. The all-new S660 roadster has received an aggressive bumper, sportier side skirts and ventilated hood, which gives S660 a unique place in its respective segment.
Mugen is also bringing Honda Civic Type R, which has been modified on its aerodynamic and maneuverability front. There is no exact details about the modifications but according to the leaked images one can observe an additional rear wing, a stylish new hood and mesh grille.
In the MPV Segment, Mugen has to offer its new Honda Stepwagon Spada Sport which has been evolved with 18-inch stylish alloy wheels, plated grille, panel type side garnish, rear under spoiler and a sporty silencer to give a unique look to the wagon. The sporty body kit of Stepwagon Spada Sport will definitely lure the customers that have an eye on utility along with style.
It has been also revealed that Honda HR-V will be also tuned by the Japanese firm but there is no information revealed about the modifications apart from a red Metallic Color. Mugen has tuned vehicles for Honda for many Motorsports events and in the upcoming 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon, Honda is relying on Mugen to take lead in the league of modified vehicles.
Along with Honda, Subaru and Mazda is also prepared with its concept models to be showcased at Tokyo Auto Salon and it will be really exciting to witness these leading Japanese automakers flaunting their latest technological advancements at the show.
