BANGKOK: Ford Ranger 2016 has been launched recently at the 32nd Thailand Intrnational Motor Expo with distinctive design and upgraded features. The refreshed and revamped Ford Ranger sports an new front fascia with more macho front chrome grille and the sharper design that reflects the ruggedness of pickup and will lure the customers in an effective manner.

• Electronic Power-Assisted Steering System (EPAS)

This new model of pickup is the first-ever in its line to be equipped with the Electonic Power Assisted Steering which replaces the conventional hydraulic power steering delivering better fuel economy. This newly equipped feature also offers low-speed maneuverability with more precise steering at high speeds.

• Smart keyless entry

Ford has added the power start button with smart keyless entry in its highr-trim models to make it more advance pickup truck. Its biggest affliction of center door lock has also been resolved with migration from center console to the interior door handle of both the driver and passenger side.

• Practicality with new Stalks and Power outlets

Stalks, the most important driver control has been given a new look. The lights stalk has been shifted to the dashboard and the cylindrical stalks has been replaced by pointy ones. It is not only good-looking but practical too with three 12V sockets, two USB ports, a cooling fan. Aside from its three 12V power sockets, ranger also comes with a 240-volt power socket which is positioned at the back of the center console to charge gadgets on the go.

• High-resistance material and redesigned exterior

Ranger has used high-grade aluminium and high-resistance steel in its manufacturing contributing majorly to its light-weight which at the same time will be highly reliable and durable. The all-new Ranger features new front and rear bumper giving a more sporty look. It also comes with a revamped front chrome grille and sharper headlights adding much to its aggresive style.

• Payload and towing capacity

With a payload capacity of approximately 453 kg and a tow of approx 1,360 kg, it is quite clear that the ute will be quite compact but will be distinguished from other utes in line in terms of fuel efficiency.
