Tokyo Motor Show 2015 showcasing Hi-tech automobiles

BANGKOK: The 44th Tokyo Motor show took place from October 29th to November 8th, Sunday at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo by Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Associations, Inc.

In the presence of Her Imperial Highness Yohko of Mikasa, an opening ceremony, show tour and the reception with the Patron was held.

This time the theme of the 44th Tokyo Motor Show was, “Your Heart will race” is apt for the Japan's raging auto-industry which is quickly embracing the concepts of autonomous technology and electric drivetrain.

Tokyo Motor Show has proven to be the right platform to exhibit passenger cars, lightweight sports cars, wild rides, electric cars to self-driving concept, automotive parts combined with the hands-on events offer visitors a chance to experience some of the latest in new lineups of different automakers and also the experience of test-drives of passenger and commercial vehicles

160 exhibitors from 11 countries participated in this show and 16 manufactures/26 brands from abroad gathered here in this show including four brands from the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group (Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Jeep, Fiat) returning to the show for the first time in eight years, DS Automobiles of France making its debut, and Mercedes-Maybach exhibiting once again.

Going around the Show, you could see the exhibition was here with the plenty of exciting new cars and tech-heavy concept vehicles. All the leading manufacturers exhibited their latest models of passenger vehicles and concept cars with their agile dynamics and the visitors can have the real world encounter with all the technology.

Here we also spotted the big buses, trucks, vans, pick-ups and jump inside them to experience all the new features and accessories. Throughout the Tokyo Motor Show,  the latest technology loaded in most of the automobiles to make them more advanced and enjoyable were also spotted.

Mazda RX Vision Rotary Engined Concept Car

Unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show, Mazda RX Vision concept car is a new visionary of the rotary- engined sports car. Mazda president and CEO said, “One-day rotary will make a comeback. This gives form to our brand's vision of the future. It expresses our intention to make rotary. There are many issues to overcome, but we will continue our efforts. We're working steadily. Keep your eyes on Mazda."

The main standout feature of the Mazda RX Vision is its next-generation rotary engine which is said to be cover the three main aspects: fuel economy, reliability and emissions.

Subaru WRX STI S207 Edition

Subaru WRX STI S207 served as a treat at the Tokyo Motor Show though this edition is limited to only 400 units, its level of performance is taken to the all new heights giving a power of 323 hp and 431 Nm of torque. Beside its upgraded performance, some tweaks can also be seen in its styling with the 19inch BBSwheels, Chin-spoiler, Red-outlined grille and interior is lined with the leather-trimmed Recaro seats.

Mitsubishi eX concept car

This year Tokyo Motor Show witnessed the new vision of the Mitsubishi which is set to surface in the production someday. Packed with two electric motors at the front and rear end each producing the power of 94 hp, the Mitsubishi eX-comes with the sensors and cameras to read the road ahead and adjust accordingly. The concept's bigger innovation to the brand's styling is the floating roof that makes the side glass appear to wrap around the body.

Toyota Kikai Concept

Toyota has come up with the most weird and odd Kikai Concept, merging an old-school Hotrod and Dune Buggy. Toyota says, "appreciate the complex beauty of the mechanical aspects of cars." thus comes up with this beauty.

The 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015 exhibited all the latest technology of the automotive world and various initiatives for the enjoyment of visitors and to attract as many people as possible, aiming to surpass the previous 43rd show (2013) attendance of 902,800 visitors. The Tokyo Motor Show has proven to be the best automotive platform where nearly every automaker showcases some form of electric- cars or self-driven or concept-driven and some weird but enticing designs.
