All-new Honda Civic Coming Soon- What’s Under the Flesh?
BANGKOK: With ample speculations, talks and discussions, the time has come for the Honda lovers to relish the new Honda Civic 2016. It will hit the showrooms in a week’s time, precisely 11th of March. With quite a number of Honda followers, admirers and enthusiasts waiting for the upcoming sedan, it is one of the highly awaited models in the country. The fans across the country are glued to some or the other digital media seeking the latest happening about the upcoming Civic. Being launched in US, the revamped Civic has accumulated a lot of good talks to its name, which is what a brand expects after launching a new model in the market. Thailand launch is not too far away either and here we have few things to look upon in the upcoming Honda Civic 2016.
Sophisticated Styling
Honda has always been keen on designing good-looking cars and the new Civic is no exception. On the first look, it matches to our expectations with the striking clean lines across the sedan, sleek yet authoritative front that has a thick chrome slat with brand’s emblem at the centre, sharp LED headlamps with DRLs and well-sculpted bumper. The sloping roofline, trunk spoiler, distinctive tail lights and the majestic 5-spoke alloy wheels give it a look that could lure any car crazy head.
Moving Inside
Stepping inside the car is a bliss, thanks to its warm and relaxed ambience. The silver and grey colour tone is pleasing to eyes and makes the car’s cabin look elegant. There is a big touchscreen display at the centre console that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility keeping the entertainment front of the occupants intact. Talking about the comforting features, it has a multi-function steering wheel with audio controls mounted on the same, heats seats with three different heat levels, power front row seats and an option of 60:40 split for the rear seats. Last but not the least, several driver assist technologies like Lane Keeping Assist System and Adaptive Cruise Control are included to provide the driver with utmost amenities from the go.
Evolutionary Engineering
The brand has blessed it with enough punch under the flesh to keep the auto aficionados interested. The 10th generation Civic will be offered with two engine options in Thailand namely 1.8-litre and 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engines that would be mingled to either six-speed manual gearbox or the continuously variable transmission system. The 1.5-litre is a turbocharged mill that can churn out a max power of 173 hp whereas the non-turbo 1.8-litre mill can pump out a max power output of 141 hp.
With a power packed engine, superior exterior styling and plush cabin, it looks good to outclass others in the market. But, there are still days to go when the new Civic will make its debut on the Thai turf and we aren’t aware of the exact pricing and features it will get. Till then, all we can do is wait.
